Because the tungsten-nickel-iron high-density alloy has good ductility, it can be machined by turning, milling, planing, threading and tapping. Its main processing advantages lie in two aspects: the variety of processing methods and the high precision of processing. The precision of high specific gravity tungsten alloy can reach +/-0.05mm by lathe machining method, and the complex machining parts can be pre-processed. High-density tungsten alloy dumbbells can also be processed by grinding. The accuracy of this processing method is higher than that of turning, which can reach +/-0.01mm. Grinding mainly deals with the surface, chamfer, groove and other parts of the product. The processing of high specific gravity tungsten alloy dumbbells generally has the following situations: (1) Machining counterweight parts with general machine tools such as turning, milling, planing, drilling, and grinding. (2) For counterweights with high precision requirements, it is difficult to guarantee high machining accuracy only with ordinary machine tools, so precision machine tools are required for processing. (3) In order to automate the processing of counterweights, especially model holes and cavities with complex shapes, CNC machine tools (such as three-axis CNC milling machines, machining centers, CNC grinders, etc.) must be used to process products.
